Why I Wear a One-Piece

posted by Momo Fali on October 4, 2012

While helping my 10 year old son study for his spelling test I said, “Okay, spell mole. Like, ‘I have a mole on my face.'”

He replied, “Oh, I thought you meant the little animal that digs holes, but you meant the the thing on your back with the hair growing out of it.”

I’m one very speckled individual. Always have been. Swimming in the lake with friends years ago _I_ and only _I_ keep getting bitten by fish, friends think I’m nuts or joking. About the time a fish nearly rips a mole off my back and leaves me bleeding, I figured the fish thought my moles were bugs. Yum. I’ll wear a two-piece next to you and you’ll be safe.

Boys are so subtle! When my son was 4 I knew he could express himself well and I thought, he’ll do well with the ladies. Then, one day he said, “Mom, just stop talking.” And I thought, maybe he expresses himself to well. LOL
